MINISTRIES

Macedonia has a number of ministry groups. In the area of evangelism, we place a high emphasis on personal evangelism, being visitor friendly, and distributing evangelism literature in the community and among our acquaintances. In the area of community involvement, we contribute $25,000 a year to our Community Development Corporation, which prioritizes housing, youth programming, and community advocacy. We are supporters of the local NAACP, DCRN, and Urban League in addition to giving hundreds of dollars a year to other agencies and projects. In the area of Christian education, we have a very active Sunday School of four adult classes, three classes for youth, a training class, and our Christian Orientation class. We have Wednesday Bible study in the morning and the evening with youth classes in the evening. We are richly blessed to have a Training Union that trains our members to be effective teachers, managers, and follow-up workers. In the area of discipleship, special attention is giving to men, women, young people, singles, and family. Special classes, support sessions, retreats, outreach projects (e.g., nursing homes, prisons, homeless shelter, domestic violence program, and the like), and fellowship events are common throughout the year. In the area of worship, we have several choirs and ushers who cover our two weekly worship services.
